OF GIVE OFFICE OF POLICE OVERSIGHT FOUNDED NOTICE OF COMPLAINT August 12, 2022 ICMS #: 2022-0667 On August 9, 2022, the OPO received a phone complaint. The complainant alleges: They called for police because they were afraid for their life. Someone took the keys out of their car ignition while it was running and they thought the person had a weapon. Police came, took the complainant's info, and left without going to speak to anyone. The complainant was afraid because they were robbed, and the person had a weapon, and there was a 3-month-old baby in the apartment. This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
