On August 2, 2022, the OPO received a phone complaint.
The complainant alleges: As he was sitting in his vehicle a car pulled up beside him and
shot at him twice. He called 911 and when officers responded, one of the officers (officer
was the same officer working on another case he has regarding a stolen trailer
(case
). The people who stole his trailer have been chasing him all over town
and he thinks they are trying to kill him. Officer
is trying to change the narrative
by saying that it was rocks that were thrown at his vehicle because they probably thought
it was abandoned. There were other cars parked along the street and nothing happened to
those vehicles. He has a witness that saw a vehicle pull up to his van and he heard two
shots and glass shattering and the vehicle speeded off. Officer
is trying to make
him look crazy by asking him if he is taking meds and how long he has been off his meds.
Because of the accusations of mental problems made by officer
he does not think
the correct narrative was used in report #
.
He does not understand why they
cannot find his trailer that was stolen which is causing the problems. He is afraid to say
that he believes there are one or more officers involved with this criminal gang activity and
he has witnesses and evidence. He does not think APD is trying to find his trailer because
they knew where the person was the whole day unless it was edited where the person went.
He has a witness but because of the way officer
was acting he did not mention the
witness because he was afraid the officer would persuade the witness to shut up. He is not
sure when his email will be active SO a phone call might be better.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to
determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service
Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
