On March 21, 2022, the OPO received a phone complaint.
The complainant alleges: He had a green light to go straight as he approached
, but
an APD vehicle speeded through the intersection without having his siren or flashing lights on.
When the officer's traffic light turned green, he swerved around other cars in front of him and sped
on
towards the intersection at the

The officer flipped on his flashing lights
as he approached the red lights going 80 miles an hour. If the officer was on a call, he should have
had his flashing lights and siren on the entire time.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to determine
if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service Rules, and Municipal
Civil Service Rules.
