Written Reprimand IA Case 2019-1191
This memorandum is in reference to an incident which occurred on 10/28/2019 and your conduct
at that time. Specifically I am referring to your involvement
Your response to a family disturbance call at 4558 Avenue A in APD police report #19-3011099.
You did not document in your report all information that was obtained at the scene. You did not
make an arrest on scene when required.
Your actions violated APD Policy 402.2.2 Report Writing and 418.2.1 Arrest Requirements
which states:
402.2.2 (a) All reports shall accurately reflect:
2. All pertinent information seen, heard, or assimilated by any other sense.
418.2.1
(a) Officers are required to make an arrest for incidents involving family violence when:
1. An assault has occurred that resulted in a minimum of bodily injury or complaint
of pain; or where an officer can articulate facts from which a reasonable person
could infer that the victim would have felt pain due to:
You are hereby reminded that compliance with the Department's rules and regulations are a
condition of your continued employment as a police officer. Failure to comply with this policy in
the future may result in more severe disciplinary action against you, up to, and including an
indefinite suspension.
