On March 8, 2023, the OPO received a phone complaint.
The complainant alleges: He is being harassed by
who is known to have
mental problems and has harassed him in the past. The complainant went by the parent's
house to let them know that
was harassing him. He was only there long enough to
let them know that he was being harassed by their daughter and they should take her to a
psychiatrist. After the complainant left the parents reported him to the police. The
complainant was contacted by detective
The complainant feels the call from
the detective amounted to a matter of misconduct. During the phone call the complainant
felt intimidated by Detective
The way Detective
spoke on the phone
made the complainant feel like maybe he had a personal interest. Lucy's mother is assistant
attorney general of the state. The complainant feels not only is he getting harassment from
the daughter but also from the family.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to
determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service
Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
