On March 6, 2023, the OPO received an email complaint.
The complainant alleges: Resident states she had been sexually assaulted and injured after
having a seizure on

APD was called, but they did identify themselves to
her, did not assist her, did not call EMS or Victim Services, nor giver her a pamphlet with
information. They had made her do a sobriety test and rendered no further assistance.
Resident is currently pulling together medical records and decided to make a complaint
about the incident, which occurred on

on that date. Resident believes she had been treated differently because she is a person of
color.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to
determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service
Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
