NOTICE OF COMPLAINT
January 25, 2023
ICMS #: 2023-0072
On January 25, 2023, the OPO received a phone complaint.
The complainant alleges: There was an incident that happened and the APD officer did
not file the report correctly. He was choked and slammed to the ground by a security guard.
He was assaulted with bodily injuries, SO he called the police. The complainant was
removed from the business as a trespasser. He told the responding officer that he wanted
to file charges. The officer filed the report. When the complainant called to look up the
case, it was reported as a trespassing case, not a bodily injury case. He needs to have the
report corrected but no one will give him the name of the officer. What is he supposed to
do?
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to
determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service
Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
