NOTICE OF COMPLAINT
January 6, 2023
ICMS #: 2023-0014
On January 6, 2023, the OPO received a phone complaint.
The complainant alleges: He was a victim of a hit-and-run in a parking lot
months
ago and no one has called him back.
ago his Macbook Air Pro was
stolen, which is worth over $1,000 and no one has called him. He has been given phone
numbers to call and they all go to voicemail. The complainant states, "This is such a broken
system What you are doing is not working. This is embarrassing. You have crime taking
place in our city and there is no immediate response from law enforcement... I don't know
what y'all are working on but...stop working on those things and start working on response
because it's just really disheartening as a citizen and a taxpayer.. I don't doubt that you're
working really hard, I'm just not sure that you're working really hard on the right things.
And calling people back, filing a report, doing investigative work on crime -- it seems like
that's kind of important."
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to
determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service
Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
