NOTICE OF COMPLAINT
December 30, 2022
ICMS #: 2022-1165
On December 27, 2022, the OPO received a phone complaint.
The complainant alleges: She has been dealing with APD trying to figure out how to get
her daughter back. She ended up going to jail because she had a warrant. She and her aunt
made an agreement that she would take her kids but only one child was sent back to her.
When she went to get her other child, her aunt slammed the door in her face. They came to
her house afterward and busted out her windows. She ended up getting APD involved, and
APD told her the child went with the father and there was nothing they could do. When she
calls APD they do not respond, or they tell her they don't have anyone to respond. But if
she goes to the aunt's house, she gets arrested.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to
determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service
Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
