NOTICE OF COMPLAINT
December 22, 2022
ICMS #: 2022-1151
On December 21, 2022, the OPO received an online complaint.
The complainant alleges:
- Arrest Report # Interviewed By:
health symptoms culminated in a situation with my mom where I grabbed her phone too
vigorously which resulted in my arrest for domestic battery in the mental health docket.
While discussing with my mom the situation, the police officer mentioned that she had the
"option" to dismiss the charge despite absolute prosecutorial discretion in bringing
changes. This false statement by police officers is police misconduct in my opinion. The
charge was later dismissed by following all suggested treatment. The situation prevented
me from getting the most effective mental health treatment since I spent the next 24 hrs in
jail, was dropped from the schedule of a psychiatrist that I had scheduled weeks in advance
after explaining the situation, only received free mental health treatment with a nurse
practitioner instead of a doctor at a clinic after spending 24hrs in jail with the same
symptoms, lost my job and as a result could not receive free therapy that was offered by
employer.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to
determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service
Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
