NOTICE OF COMPLAINT
November 18, 2022
ICMS #: 2022-1043
On November 17, 2022, the OPO received an email complaint.
The complainant alleges: Resident is submitting a complaint that APD offices aren't open
to the public yet and are still closed due to COVID-19. Resident states other law
enforcement agencies across the country have been open for some time and it is wrong for
APD offices to still be closed. The resident needed to get his police report as soon as
possible for insurance purposes. He asked if he could go into a police station to complete
it and we informed him the police stations were not opened and he had already completed
the correct procedure and needed to wait for a call. The resident was unhappy that the
police stations were not open yet and that was the nature of his complaint.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to
determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service
Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
