On November 3, 2022, the OPO received a phone complaint.
The complainant alleges: When he got back from
around
he
discovered his truck was missing. He decided to look for it and discovered some people
going through the truck in front of a house. He called 911 and while they were waiting for
the police, the guys noticed them SO one of them took the truck, and another one followed
in a car. The complainant followed them and flagged a police officer to follow the truck-
but he did not. Another Officer
badge
responded and took the complainant's
information regarding the incident and filed a report. The complainant found out today that
his truck was reported in a collision. The complainant knows where the people live that
stole his truck. He took the police there and they did nothing.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to
determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service
Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
