NOTICE OF COMPLAINT
October 14, 2022
ICMS #: 2022-0923
On October 12, 2022, the OPO received an online complaint.
The complainant alleges: There was an auto VS pedestrian accident on
.
When passing by you could just see the person the was killed just laying there the person
was not covered. This is very unprofessional. I understand that they are investigating the
scene but covering the person up would not hurt this process. I am a retired firefighter and
I have always backed the emergency responders and police departments, put yourself in
the family shoes, what if the way the family found out was by the news providers. APD
should give compassion to the one that was killed. I feel things need to change in this
respect.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to
determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service
Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
