On October 7, 2022, the OPO received a phone complaint.
The complainant alleges: Some GPS equipment worth at least $20k was stolen out of the
complainant's truck on
morning. 311 told him on that a detective would
call him that day. On
he called 311 after not hearing from a detective and was told
someone would call him in 24-48 hours. The complainant called again on
and
was given a number SO he could follow up on his request.
he
was told by 311 that it will take 5-15 days for someone to get to him to file a report. The
complainant was upset that he was told different things every time he called 311 and stated
that he is under pressure from his employer to file a report SO they can file with insurance.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to
determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service
Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
