NOTICE OF COMPLAINT
September 23, 2022
ICMS #: 2022-0840
On September 22, 2022, the OPO received a phone complaint.
The complainant alleges: She has had problems with multiple officers with regard to her
brother. There was a female abuser and a male victim and APD is taking the female side
because usually, the female is the victim. APD gave her a case number
(
)
on
and
she got an e-mail stating the case was closed due to lack of
evidence. She does not understand why, because she reported evidence to APD. She
reported a theft, and it took
days for APD to call her back. Her mother is filing a
complaint as well. The complainant is filing a complaint because she was a witness to
certain things regarding her brother and the abusive relationship.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to
determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service
Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
