On September 12, 2022, the OPO received a phone complaint.
The complainant alleges: Sgt.

internal affairs, dismissed his case without
taking additional information. There is always injustice or denial of civil rights, denial of
equal protection under the law, and denial of equal access to the courts by police officers.

sent him an e-mail at
stating his case was received and to contact him.
He contacted Sgt.
and told him he wanted to deal with his case over the phone
because he does not trust coming into the office. Sgt.
dodged his correspondence for

and then told him he did not need to talk to him because he had found other
information and he was closing the case. The complainant is concerned that the officer he
filed the complaint against was never investigated.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to
determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service
Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
