The complainant alleges: He was driving down in the merger lane and police cruiser was driving about 50 yards behind him. The cruiser speeded up behind him and the complainant had to make a reckless move, swerving to the right, to avoid their vehicles colliding. Cruiser then speeded up behind another vehicle and slammed on his brakes. Cruiser was driving very recklessly and almost caused the complainant to be in an accident. This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
