ICMS #: 2022-0689
On August 17, 2022, the OPO received an online complaint.

When the traffic signal turned yellow, I began to brake and slow down but witnessed that
was not. - Some seconds after the light turned yellow, I witnessed

maintained that level of deceleration only briefly, and then
continued to travel into the intersection at an estimated 30-35 MPH. - Based on video frame
timing,
entered the intersection 1.67 seconds after the light turned red. There was no
indication that
was responding to an emergency. Indeed, I caught up to

are not immune from in-vehicle distractions and it is unfair to judge anyone solely by an
isolated incident taken out of context. I submit this complaint only to ensure this is not part
of a pattern.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to
determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service
Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
