NOTICE OF COMPLAINT
August 12, 2022
ICMS #: 2022-0673
On August 12, 2022, the OPO received an online complaint.
The complainant alleges: Hello. This is definitely more of a general complaint but it's
becoming such an issue for safety and I have yet to see anything done ever but it's constant.
Drivers are constantly running redlights even long after it changes and it's becoming more
and more unsafe on the roads in general but it's disappointing to see cops on the roads
completely ignoring or even participating. I was on my way home
on
and was turning onto
and the cop behind me didn't use a signal a single time first
of all. This was also around
.
Secondly, several people ran the red light before
ours turned green which causes us to be at risk as well as less of us able to go. This cop
was also speeding excessively and seemingly was aimlessly driving with nowhere to be
while not using signals to go around the rest of us because obviously he's going like 20
over and rest of us are going maybe max 5 over the limit. It's just disappointing because
it's obviously setting an example and just nothing is enforced and it can cause serious
accidents if seemingly small things like this are just ignored or participated in by who is
supposed to be helping us stay safe.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to
determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service
Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
