NOTICE OF COMPLAINT
August 5, 2022
ICMS #: 2022-0646
On August 2, 2022, the OPO received a phone complaint.
The complainant alleges: She spoke to 311 and was told it was better if she filed her police
report online, but the website indicated if anything was off the report would be disregarded.
She called again the next day and filed her report with 311 and was told she would get a
call in 48 hours. She missed the two calls, SO she called back and started the process all
over again. She was contacted via e-mail by
Southeast Austin's investigation
regarding a suspension letter. Office
left a voice mail that contradicted what the
letter said. She was never contacted by APD regarding information for her case. Why was
she not contacted? She and detective played phone tag. She has left several
messages and never received a return phone call from detective
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to
determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service
Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
