NOTICE OF COMPLAINT
July 29, 2022
ICMS #: 2022-0620
On July 25, 2022, the OPO received a phone complaint.
The complainant alleges: A person by the name of
asked her to video what the
neighbor was doing, SO she took two short videos. When the complainant heard the
neighbor calling the police she left and went home. The neighbor called the police and told
them she had a gun and that she had pulled a knife on him. APD knocked on her door
asking to hear her side of the story, but she did not answer the door because she did not do
anything. She did not know how many police were outside and what their intentions were
since the neighbor had lied on her. An APD sergeant was also called, and he also knocked
on her door, but she still did not answer. APD believed two mental patients who are not on
their medications SO do they just believe anybody. Her daughter showed the APD the video
and they still just left. There was also a police officer looking through her bedroom
window. She did not call the police her neighbor did SO why were they knocking on her
door. She was afraid that should not have happened. Maybe APD needs to be retrained.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to
determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service
Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
