NOTICE OF COMPLAINT
July 8, 2022
ICMS #: 2022-0558
On July 5, 2022, the OPO received a phone complaint.
The complainant alleges: She and a friend from
,
Texas have been constantly
harassed by APD Officer
since
via text messaging. She had an
argument with Officer
and it escalated, and she asked her to leave her alone. She
blocked Officer
from her social media, phone, etc. Complainant began getting calls
from her friends because Officer
was calling them trying to get in touch with her.
One friend was concerned because
had made a threat. Complainant has over 100
text messages from Officer
Officer
has had someone else reach out to her.
She is an alcoholic and drinks every day. She is ballistic, and unsafe and has made it clear
that she has a gun and has told her "I am not the one." Complainant is concerned because
they had a falling out a few years ago and Officer
had an officer find out where she
lives. She is unstable and she does not know what Officer
is capable of, she just
wants officer
to leave her alone. She has not unblocked her because previous
messages have been very nasty, disgusting, and hurtful. Officer
has brought up her
children and she is very concerned. Her friends are concerned and have asked her, "What
if she murders you?" She wants this to be taken care of in a timely manner.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to
determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service
Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
