On June 27, 2022, the OPO received an online complaint.
The complainant alleges: I had an assaulted happen to me in my residence, my life was
threatened if I called the police a neighbor called for me they showed up, the police and
eats heard my injuries. After nothing was done they asked the man who assaulted me to go
back to his residence. I called 911 after hearing a crash outside after they had left and they
hadn't filled the report at that time, they came back and one of the officers got verbally
aggressive towards me blaming me for the charges with standing being none because I
didn't disclose my injuries prior. He was standing the the room when I first did and he
frightened me for my own safety. The man who assaulted me was still on property for days
and I couldn't even take my trash out of my apartment due to our apartment locations. The
apartment has filled paperwork after needing full disclosure of the incident to evict him.

This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to
determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service
Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
