NOTICE OF COMPLAINT
June 24, 2022
ICMS #: 2022-0524
On June 21, 2022, the OPO received a phone complaint.
The complainant alleges: He was not at his apartment when his roommate opened the
door to two APD officers trying to serve him with a warning for reckless driving which
was based on hearsay from a lady that followed him home. APD did not have a license
plate number or any identifying information other than a green bronco ford which there are
three other vehicles in his apartment complex the exact same as his vehicle. The
complainant questioned why he was being given a warning when the officers had no license
plate number only the claim made by the lady who followed him. The complainant stated
he filed a complaint and APD came the next day and arrested him.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to
determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service
Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
