NOTICE OF COMPLAINT
June 10, 2022
ICMS #: 2022-0487
On June 8, 2022, the OPO received a phone complaint.
The complainant alleges: The back of the semi-trailer that he uses for his CEO training
was vandalized. There was also writing on the trailer and on the side of the building that
referenced potential gang activity. The officers that were dispatched came without any
urgency. The officers tried to encourage him to file his report online. He expressed concern
about a ladder on the side of the building which led to the roof of the school. He suggested
the officers check to make sure there was no one on the roof because there was a door open
behind the building. He was trying to get everything taken care of before students arrived.
The officers told him they could not touch the ladder. There was no effort by the officers
to make sure the building was secure for the students. When he asked the officers for
business cards, he was told they did not have any.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to
determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service
Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
