NOTICE OF COMPLAINT
June 3, 2022
ICMS #: 2022-0462
On June 3, 2022, the OPO received a phone complaint.
The complainant alleges: He rents a room from a couple. The woman and her husband
were out for that evening. The brother of the lady he rents from is not allowed in the home.
Somehow the brother got into the house and came to his room yelling "where is my sister".
He told him he could not be in the house and walked him to the door. When he tried to
close the door, the brother stuck his foot in the door and punched him. He reacted and they
begin to fight. The brother finally left in a cab but continued to drive through the
neighborhood. He explained the situation to the 911 dispatch, and they informed him to
stay inside and that they would send an officer over. He waited and the officers never
responded. When the owners of the house returned both he and his wife called 911 but
APD never responded.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to
determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service
Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
