The complainant alleges: He understands that traffic accidents/car accidents are typically
civil matters, but this was a hit and run, a drunk driver and the person left the scene of the
accident and went home. He was told that police would not come out if there are no injuries
and that he could file his report online. He just got hit and his back would be sore the next
day but not a serious injury and it was a drunk driver as well as a hit and run. It has been

and he has not heard anything regarding the incident. APD does not
go out to every accident, but he expects that APD should follow up if it is a criminal

determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service
Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
