NOTICE OF COMPLAINT
May 27, 2022
ICMS #: 2022-0411
On May 23, 2022, the OPO received an online complaint.
The complainant alleges: Shots were fired near my apartment unit at
on
I ducked for cover since the shots were SO loud I thought it was inside my unit and that my
life was in danger. I called 911 and reported a possible shooting, they told me they would
dispatch officers to drive around the area. 30 minutes later after confirming on my ring app
community forum that other people also heard the shots, I called 911 again and told them
they were real shots and they need to send police to investigate but the dispatcher cut me
off and told me the call was closed SO it meant the problem had been resolved. Also noted
that 911 operator never asked me if I wanted to speak to an officer directly. Officers never
came to investigate. I went to APD to speak with officers directly and filed a report. CASE
