NOTICE OF COMPLAINT
May 27, 2022
ICMS #: 2022-0410
On May 20, 2022, the OPO received a phone complaint.
The complainant alleges: Three officers came to the apartment complex where the
complainant is staying for something unrelated to the complainant. Officer
talked to him for no reason. They ran his girlfriend's license plate and no one else's.
The officer called him by name but the complainant hadn't told the officer his name and
they have never met before. The officer was cocky. The complainant says he can't even
walk to the store without being bothered by APD. His past is in the past. He's trying to
walk the straight and narrow now, he's not doing anything wrong SO they shouldn't be
bothering him. He doesn't want to be harassed or harmed because of his past. His brother
was killed by APD.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to
determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service
Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
