NOTICE OF COMPLAINT
May 13, 2022
ICMS #: 2022-0366
On May 9, 2022, the OPO received a phone complaint.
The complainant alleges: He has been filming APD for abuse for 8 years and nothing has
been done about it. Several groups of people, mostly people of color, were attacked by
APD on horses on
during the
Festival. There was a blonde female that
was pinned by horses. Sgt.
(unsure of officer's name), who is a bad cop, and his
crew were trampling pedestrians and running horses against people during the festival.
There was no traffic and streets were not open to vehicles, SO there was no reason to run
the horses other than for police abuse. APD told a blonde female she was only going to
get a ticket and she could leave but instead, they arrested and traumatized her for a Class
C misdemeanor which is against city policy and the 4th amendment. She was only trying
to protect herself from being trampled by horses. She was released because it was only a
Class C misdemeanor/touching a service animal Police do not need to run horses on
in pedestrian traffic. Officer
pushed the people back while filming. Sergeant
(unsure of officer's name) and his crew need to be fired and put in jail.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to
determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service
Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
