On April 5, 2022, the OPO received an online complaint.
The complainant alleges: I was in a car accident on
.
I was hit by a Tesla and
I was at a complete stop. The Tesla drove into oncoming traffic attempting to pass me to get to the
light on
.
The officer in question spent one minute with me, ignored my (female)
nonbiased whitness and flicked his hand at her, and then he spent about forty-five minutes with
the other driver. The other driver had just finished yelling at me at the top of his lungs. I have
attempted to get footage from the scene from the officer's vest but have heard nothing. My question
is: is austin police department sexist? My case number is
The fact that everyone had
stopped and this other driver sped up after being behind twenty vehicles goes to show he had road
rage and wanted to hit me. I will say this that one of the officers did speak with my witness but
that did not make it into the officers report.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to determine
if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service Rules, and Municipal
Civil Service Rules.
