NOTICE OF COMPLAINT
April 1, 2022
ICMS #: 2022-0235
On March 30, 2022, the OPO received a phone complaint.
The complainant alleges: He called APD because he could not deescalate an angry customer. The
situation escalated to the point that the customer balled his fist up and wanted to fight. The police
were called and when they arrived, he explained to the officers what was going on. The police
asked why he called them and told him that he should have called 311. The police did not do
anything. After he reported it to 311, 311 called him back today and told him they cannot do a
trespass because the person has to be on the property and the officer has to do the trespass. His
Employees can possibly be in danger or at risk because police officers did not do their jobs.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to determine
if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service Rules, and Municipal
Civil Service Rules.
