OF CITY LUSTIN OFFICE OF POLICE OVERSIGHT FOUNDED NOTICE OF COMPLAINT March 4, 2022 ICMS #: 2022-0140 On March 2, 2022 the OPO received an online complaint. The complainant alleges: I was on just past the start of the highway at . One of your officers in a gray Explorer (plate ended in ) tailgated me for approximately 2 miles. He was close enough that I could not see his hood in my rear view mirror. As I started to move over after safely passing, he accelerated and came way to close to my back left side. I recognize he was trying to catch up to the other vehicle, but there is no excuse for operating his vehicle in an unsafe manner. If he needed to get by, he should have turned on his lights. This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
