NOTICE OF COMPLAINT
March 4, 2022
ICMS #: 2022-0137
On March 1, 2022 the OPO received a phone complaint.
The complainant alleges: The complainant submits his complaint on behalf of his mother,
She swerved to avoid hitting someone crossing the road and crashed her car. The officer
who arrived did a roadside sobriety test and she was clearly fine. The sobriety test lasted 30
minutes. The officer proceeded to try to incriminate her and put the fear in her. The complainant
said once the officer found out she wasn't drinking and driving he should have assisted her instead
of trying to arrest her in any way possible. An additional complaint is that the officer didn't let her
tow her car but instead towed it to a preferred yard which cost her over $100.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to determine
if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service Rules, and Municipal
Civil Service Rules.
