NOTICE OF COMPLAINT
March 4, 2022
ICMS #: 2022-0136
On March 1, 2022 the OPO received a phone complaint.
The complainant alleges: A man she is familiar with ran up to officers yelling that she was taking
pictures of him even though she wasn't. She was just there to pick up some food. The officers
yelled at her to stop taking pictures of the man. The complainant tried multiple ways to prove that
she was doing nothing wrong but the officers didn't listen. When she asked for the officers' names
and badge numbers, one of them replied, "Oh you wanna do it like that now?" That officer then
asked for the complainant's personal information. The other officer put his foot on the
complainant's emotional support puppy. When she asked why he did that he said he was trying to
pet it. The complainant is MHMR and is shook up and afraid because the officers bullied her and
thought treating her horribly was ok.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to determine
if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service Rules, and Municipal
Civil Service Rules.
