On January 11, 2022 the OPO received an email complaint.
The complainant alleges: Good evening, I am emailing since I am out of resources on what to do
with an ongoing situation that my mother has been going through for a little over a year. My mother
has made several police reports and no one has been able to help her. At the moment I have asked
the city for all the police reports and that will take several days. My mother was in a relationship
with
and she broke up with him, several months after she broke up with him
my mother moved in with her new boyfriend. Her ex
has been stalking her and he found
out where she now resides and has been vandalizing her car and it has happened on several
occasions. She has made reports every single time. He has threatened to hurt her as well and said
he was going to pay his friend to hurt her and yet no one has helped my mom. She has already
spent over 1K$ on fixing her car from all of the times he has vandalized it. We have plenty of
pictures as well. Since last month my mom installed cameras outside her apartment and
he is caught on camera slashing her tires, yet no one is helping my mom. She attempted twice to
place a protective order and no one has helped her. WHY has no one helped her? Once again, this

He had a warning by one of the police officers last month as well and that is all. The warning did
not affect him since several days later he went and slashed her tires. prior the the tire slashing he
busted her front windshield, back windshield and three side windows, prior to that he put soda in
her gas tank, prior to that he put screws in her tires, ,prior to that he was threatening to hurt her by
cutting off her fingers and he was following her from her job to wherever she was driving to. since

last year he has been tormenting her and she has filled police reports and protective orders and
NOTHING has been done.

We have made all of these reports, my mothers ex has vandalized her vehicle, stalked and
threatened her and no one has done anything about this.It's been going on for over a year. This
guy is getting extremely comfortable since he has not been arrested he literally is damaging her
car every few weeks and will continue to do SO since no one is doing anything about it. It has cost
her over $1,000 to fix those damages. She has developed a lot of stress, fear, paranoia and anxiety.
No one has even called her for the last most recent report for
Four months ago she began
the process for a protective order and that first intent fell right through the cracks, she had to start
the process all over a week ago. I am sure you can see the officers name on these reports. I tried
calling several places to see if anything was being done after being told I'm calling the wrong place
SO many times I am not sure what to do. What has to be done in order for my mom to have peace
of mind and for this man to be arrested?
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to determine
if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service Rules, and Municipal
Civil Service Rules.
