NOTICE OF COMPLAINT
January 12, 2022
ICMS #: 2022-0014
On January 4, 2022 the OPO received a phone complaint.
The complainant alleges: The complainant is a realtor with properties in a cul-de-sac. There is a
no parking sign there that is a fire lane "so to speak." There is now a homeless camp under the no
parking sign in the middle of the road with shopping carts, wheelchairs, and dogs. They are lighting
fires at night. The complainant states that the tenants now don't have room to back out of their
driveways for fear they will hit someone and the fires are a danger to tenants' lives and her property.
The complainant has allegedly called police multiple times, filed complaints for dogs running
around, fires, and obstacles in the road impeding the safety of moving vehicles, and the police have
not come out. She was allegedly told by dispatch that it was not a priority and they would only
send someone if there was someone available. The complainant has been trying to solve this for 6
months. She states she is losing tenants because of this.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to determine
if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service Rules, and Municipal
Civil Service Rules.
