CHICK OF AUSTIN OFFICE OF NOTICE OF FORMAL POLICE OVERSIGHT COMPLAINT FOUNDED ICMS #: 2020-0960 June 30, 2020 Complaint: Complainant alleges: "My daughter lives in Austin. I was incredibly upset about the death of Michael Ramos because we know some members of his family. I was horrified to see that the officer Christopher Taylor had previously killed Dr. DeSilva. An officer who was SO impulsive should be taken off the force and should be investigated. There are people all over the country and world paying attention to what is going on in Austin right now. Officers need training, vetting, and to be accountable when they do something wrong. In addition, three people were harmed with beanbag bullets last week. Those officers' names need to be released to the public and should be investigated. I hope we can re-vamp how we police. As a mother I am mortally afraid by the statistics in this country". The City of Austin is committed to compliance with the American Disabilities Act. Reasonable modifications and equal access to communications will be provided upon request.
