Complaint: The complainant alleges: Sgt
and Sgt
in special events both contact
certain sgts in the department and give specific sgts overtime. They are not equally dispersing or
giving each Sgt the same opportunity. This has been an ongoing issue. Sgt
, Sgt
and a few others are the primary recipients of this overtime. A full check of their emails,
personal cell phone texts and city cell phone texts to verify all this information. A lot of the
overtime assignments these Sgt have worked have never been posted on Revolution for equal
opportunity.
This notice of formal complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to
determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service Rules, and
Municipal Civil Service Rules.
Recommended Classification: The OPO is permitted to make a preliminary recommendation on
the classification of administrative cases.
The OPO declines to make a classification recommendation.
