The Austin Fire Department is an active member of the Travis County LEPC. The Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) carries out those responsibilities required pursuant to Public Law 99-499, Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act of 1986 ("EPCRA") and related regulations.

Both the LEPC and Austin Fire Department receive annual Tier II reports. To streamline the reporting process, a single submission to the Travis County LEPC fulfills reporting requirements to the Austin Fire Department.

Tier II reports are due March 1st every year and no reporting fees are required by Austin Fire Department.
