Formula 1 Merch and Activities at AUS

No matter how fast you like to go, trying to speed through the terminal is never the way to win the race or catch your flight. Between all the steps of airport travel, having spare time to stroll and enjoy the hidden treasures of AUS can be a breath of fresh air. So, before you fasten your seat belt on the plane, arrive to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) 2.5 hours early for domestic flights and 3 hours for international flights to experience all the special activities only happening this October:

LEGO racecar display. You heard right.

If you're traveling for Formula1 (F1), I suspect you’ll be racing to baggage claim as soon as the plane wheels touch the track at AUS. But wait, hit the brakes! Before you full throttle into your ride, block out a minute to capture a fitting photo piece. If you couldn’t guess by the clue words, LEGO and Formula 1 have collaborated to build you an awesome backdrop.  Give your chauffeur a second to load your bags and capture a photo at the F1 LEGO display, located near the H sign in the lower-level arrivals zone.

Fit Check for Formula 1

You can’t go off to the races without gearing up—wait, you mean you don’t have any Formula 1 shirt to rep? Not even a hat? Ridiculous! Do not fear, you can speed-run the F1 fanatic outfit by making a pit stop at either The Austin ChronicleAustin VibesJetset, or all three.

From left to right: Top corner is a hat that is red. A green shirt with yelllow graphics, a display with hats and shirts. Bottom a display with jackets and shirts. More hate. A grey hat and black water bottles.

With so many stylish hats to choose from, you’ll just have to get a sleek jacket and shirt to match. May or may not be speaking from experience when I say F1 merch makes you feel like one of the pros the second you strut it around.

Don’t take off yet, there’s more! Only at Toy Joy & Yummi Joy near Gate 11, you can find the ultimate collection of Formula 1 racecar models from brands like Bburago and MAISTO. Come on, can you really say you experienced Circuit of the Americas if you don’t take home the premium collectible that is a Ferrari SF-23 #16?

XpresSpa Discount

You're already traveling with so much baggage, so why not let XpresSpa take some of that weight off your shoulders? Literally, with a message, you know you need it. If you require another excuse to treat yourself, what if I told you that all local special-event ticket holders, even event workers, get 10% off any massage service? Right, so now you're going to get your butt up from that gate chair and get your butt into either the XpresSpa massage chair near Gate 15 or Gate 22.

Tito's take on ACL (Tito's + HAAM Day)

Did you really get a taste of Austin if you didn't experience ACL? Of course, we're talking about Tito's version of ACL, the Austin Cherry Limeade. This cocktail is the sweetest way to say goodbye to Austin, mainly because Tito's will donate $1 to HAAM for every ACL cocktail sold. HAAM is an organization that works to provide affordable healthcare for self-employed musicians in the greater Austin area. Swing by either the Saxon PubHaymaker, The Salt Lick BBQ, or Hippies & Hops to purchase this special drink. By keeping our local performers healthy, Austin can keep serving as the Live Music Capital of the World.
