Fall Youth Soccer Registration Now Open

As kids head back to school and the excitement of a new academic year begins, it’s the perfect time to sign them up for youth soccer at the Austin Parks and Recreation Department! We’re thrilled to announce that registration for our youth soccer leagues for ages 3 to 12 is open from August 12 to August 30, 2024. This is a fantastic opportunity for your child to learn valuable soccer skills, practice teamwork, and have fun in a safe, non-competitive environment.

Community Recreation Center co-ed youth recreational soccer leagues are designed for beginner to intermediate players. With a focus on skill development and teamwork, players will have the chance to make new friends, gain confidence, and stay active. Here are some key details about the program:

Participants will be placed in one of the following age divisions based on their age as of September 1, 2024:

• 4U (4 years old)
• 6U (5-6 years old)
• 8U (7-8 years old)
• 10U (9-10 years old)
• 12U (11-12 years old)

The league consists of weekly practices for eight weeks at the designated recreation center, culminating in six games during the season. Game times, dates, and locations may vary depending on total league enrollment.

Players are required to bring their own shin guards and a water bottle to all practices and games. Each participant will receive a t-shirt and an end-of-season award as part of the program fee.

The cost to register is $40 for City of Austin residents and $70 for non-residents. Financial aid is available for eligible households; visit http://www.AustinTexas.gov/FinancialAid for more details.
