AUSTIN, TEXAS – Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) passenger traffic growth for January 2024 was down 1.57% compared to January 2023, with 1,483,372 total arriving and departing passengers flying during the month.

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for January 2024 was 1,483,372, down 1.57% compared to January 2024 enplanements totaled 725,594, down 2.31%. Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 604,808, up 5.6%; American Airlines passengers totaled 361,403, down 6.4%; Delta Air Lines passengers totaled 187,242, up 14.7%; United Airlines passengers totaled 179,505, up 4.9%; Alaska Airlines passengers totaled 48,451, down 23.6%; Spirit Airlines passengers totaled 23,913, down 65.4%; JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 17,784, up 12.6%; Allegiant Air passengers totaled 16,176, down 8.1%; British Airways passengers totaled 12,731, up 5.5%; Aeromexico passengers totaled 4,912, up 7.2%; Lufthansa passengers totaled 4,613, up 0.3%; KLM Royal Dutch Airlines passengers totaled 4,592, up 5.4%; Copa Airlines passengers totaled 4,101; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 3,899, down 57.8%; Air Canada passengers totaled 3,873, up 6.8%; Hawaiian Airlines passengers totaled 3,617, down 35.8%; Virgin Atlantic passengers totaled 1,136, down 63.2%; and Sun Country Airlines passengers totaled 616, up 7.7%.

January 2024 air cargo totaled 23,157,406 lbs., down 2.46% compared to January 2023. International air cargo totaled 1,522,625 lbs., down 5.31%. Air Transport International carried 8,352,563 lbs., down 3.1%; Federal Express carried 5,408,792 lbs., down 18.9%; United Parcel Services carried 2,435,887 lbs., down 10.2%; Atlas Air carried 2,129,668 lbs., up 35.7%; and Sun Country Airlines carried 1,273,547 lbs.

Air Services transferred 182,502 lbs. of mail, down 57.66%; and 2,656,415 lbs. of belly freight, down 5.14%.

Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 3,014, down 21%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totaled 19,716, up 7.74%
