Metamorphosis Dance presents Ballet Under the Stars

Metamorphosis Dance’s season closes with one of their favorite shows, the annual free-to-the-public production of Ballet Under the Stars at Zilker Hillside Theater on June 7-8th, 2024. The production opens with Carmina Burana, a contemporary ballet work featuring the entire company roster of dancers set to the iconic score by Carl Orff. Audiences will also enjoy the Austin premier of Swing, a new and exciting jazzy ballet work set to big band music from the 1930's and 40's choreographed by Artistic Director, Melanie Kregel. This production will feature plenty of other original works created by artists of the company, ranging in styles from ballet, jazz and contemporary. Spend the evening with the artists of Metamorphosis Dance as they exhibit wonderful artistry and virtuosic dancing under the stars!
Metamorphosis Dance is part of the Artist Access Program, through the City of Austin’s Parks and Recreation Department, Division of Museums and Cultural Programs, and the Dougherty Arts Center.
