Austin Resource Recovery provides cart-based trash and recycling collection services for some small businesses in residential areas that do not require dumpsters, however, most businesses choose a private hauler.
Austin Resource Recovery also manages a commercial trash and recycling Dumpster contract, required by Austin City Council Ordinance 20051020-063 for businesses located in the Downtown Austin Recycling and Trash Service District.
Most larger properties in Austin require dumpster services from third party haulers.
