The Grant for Technology Opportunities Program (GTOPs) is a grant administered by the Digital Inclusion Program directed at improving the community's ability to fully participate in the digital society. GTOPs offers individual grants of $10,000 to $25,000.
Grant applications are reviewed and assessed by a panel of qualified community representatives appointed by the Community Technology and Telecommunications Commission, which has final approval over recipient selection. In FY 2018, GTOPs grants were awarded to nine organizations.
In addition to funding, GTOPs has devices available for award. The device inventory is constantly fluctuating, but we encourage all applicants to apply for devices if your program could benefit. Generally, our stock consists of Dell Optiplex desktops (power cable, mouse, keyboard and monitors are not guaranteed but likeley available). The units will have 4GB of RAM, a minimum of 160GB of hard drive space, and at least an Intel i3 processor. Windows 10 and Microsoft Office Suite can be pre-installed for $6 per license requested (GTOPs funds cannot be requested to cover the cost of the licenses). Device grants will be between 10 and 30 units per grantee.
