The City developed a program expanding its home repair services for homeowners to address home repairs that pose health and safety concerns for low to moderate-income residents. NHCD contracts with non-profit organizations to provide this service.
Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for FY 2017-18 G.O. Repair Program
The Austin Housing Finance Corporation (AHFC) announces the upcoming availability of $2,500,000 in funding for the G. O. Repair! Program and currently seeks proposals from experienced non-profit organizations to provide home and roof repair services. NOFA packets may be obtained between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the office of the AHFC at 1000 East 11th Street, 2nd Floor, Austin, TX 78702, and can also be downloaded from here: G.O. A non-mandatory Pre-Submittal meeting will be held at 1:30 p.m. on August 14, 2017, at AHFC offices at 1000 East 11th Street, Suite 400A, Austin, Texas 78702. Sealed applications relating to this NOFA are due prior to 3:00 p.m., August 24, 2017, at the office of AHFC, 1000 East 11th Street, 2nd Floor, Austin, TX 78702. Applicants shall submit one (1) original and three (3) copies of the application.

Eligible repairs will be limited to those that pose health and safety risks, such as those listed below:
Electrical, plumbing, mechanical repairs,
Exterior siding repair,
Window and door repairs/replacements,
Minimal drywall and flooring repair,
Ceiling fans in bedrooms and living room,
Painting as related to repairs, and
