There are more than 9,000 buildings in the 100-year floodplain in Austin. In addition, more than 300 bridges are subject to flooding. We plan, design and construct projects to help reduce flood risk and protect the public from the devastating impact

Austin Watershed Protection works on projects that address erosion to create safe and stable stream systems.

This project will reduce flooding for houses and roads near Little Walnut Creek between Metric Blvd. and Rutland Dr. 

Austin Watershed Protection plans, designs and constructs projects to help reduce local flooding.

This project will modernize the Old Lampasas Dam, located on a tributary of Bull Creek, off Spicewood Springs Road.

The Confluence is the second phase of the Waterloo Greenway project. It includes the restoration and reconstruction of approximately 13 acres along Waller Creek between 4th St. and Lady Bird Lake within the Waller Creek District.

We design, build and evaluate engineered systems to reduce pollution in our creeks, lakes and aquifers. We seek to use stormwater as a resource rather than a waste product.
