Day Labor

About

The First Workers Day Laborer Program provides services for individuals seeking day labor work. This includes the unhoused, migrant workers, and those seeking re-entry*. The program supports paid work and active contributions in our community.

Services are provided based on referrals by Austin Public Health Neighborhood Center, and may include case management services, food accessibility, community nursing needs, rent or utility assistance, and more.

Note for Re-entry Clients: It is encouraged to participate in Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT). The curriculum is designed to enhance moral reasoning, improve decision-making, and promote positive behavior change.

Vendor Requests

Vendors looking for workers can submit an online job request. All requests will be reviewed within two business days. Upon approval, we will contact you with next steps.  Note: If the worker is required to provide their own transportation, a required $20.00 minimum fuel fee will be applied.
