On Thursday June 26, 2025, members of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested Vondell Louis Crawford in connection with the homicide of Keaton Delcore. Crawford has been charged with 1st Degree Murder and is currently in custody at the Travis County Jail.

On Sunday, June 22, 2025, at approximately 12:29 a.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers and Austin-Travis County EMS responded to a call that reported a subject bleeding on the ground at the Apple Mart gas station, located at 2101 Wickersham Lane. Officers arrived at the scene and found an unidentified male on the ground with trauma to his neck. The male, later identified as Keaton Delcore, was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased at 1 a.m. 
 
Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Specialists responded to process the scene and interview witnesses. The initial investigation showed that Mr. Delcore approached an unidentified male and had an interaction with him in the Apple Mart parking lot. The unidentified male then shot Mr. Delcore and left the area.

This case is being investigated as Austin's 30th homicide of 2025.
